Next swap, Sunday, April 10, 2011, 9am-3pm.

It’s that time again –  the annual Spring Bike Swap presented by Cycle 9 – Sunday April 10 9am-3pm, or so.  As always, space is free for vendors and the public.  Shops are welcome to bring their wares.  Back Alley Bikes, Reidsville Bikeshop, and ReCyclery NC are on the list.

There is plenty of free parking and space to set up tables, tents, blankets, rocking chairs, etc.  The Looking Glass Cafe’ adjacent to us, has plenty of great food and beverages for purchase.

It’s a great time to sell (or get rid of) that stuff gathering dust in the parts box.  The previous Spring Swap’s have seen upwards of 200 people in attendance.  So, it’s kind of a big deal.  Come join and geek out with us on bike parts galore!

When: Sunday, April 10, 9-3

Where: At Cycle 9, 601 W. Main Street, Carrboro

What: Looking for a bike? Want special deals on bike parts and accessories? Have a bike or stuff to sell?

Come to the bike swap and see what shows up.

• Some bike community regulars (shops and individuals) will be there with stuff to sell.
• Individuals come buy, sell and trade bikes, parts, accessories
• Cycle 9 will have specials going all day on our bikes and a low price BLOWOUT table.

Don’t miss the fun and deals. Stop by on Sunday April 3rd in front of the shop.

How This Works: If you have bike parts, accessories, or bikes to sell/trade, feel free to bring them. You must attend your stuff and no dumping! Cycle 9 hosts the event and provides the location, but all sales between non Cycle9 participants at the swap are their own personal interactions. (i.e. we are not responsible for that).

If you are looking to purchase items, just show up! I suggest you bring cash, although there is and ATM across the street if you forget. We can provide change if appropriate, but cannot process credit card transactions for private sellers.

3rd Carrboro Bike Swap a Success (Fall 2010)!

Our Bike Swap on October 3, 2010 was attended by a bunch of regulars and newcomers to Cycle 9. Swappers set up on the courtyard and enjoyed the cool weather while shoppers mingled. At Cycle 9, people enjoyed free massages, picked up on closeout deals, and entered to win the Soma Buena Vista Mixte frame.
